• One of the leading business schools in India, SIMS has successfully and consistently translated its mission to Influence Practice and Promote Value-based Growth, through pedagogic innovations and pioneering programmes.
• SIMS runs its innovative initiatives and programmes through dedicated Centres of Excellence. One such prominent Centre of Excellence is the Centre for Education in the Social Sector (CESS). CESS was established in 2015 with a mandate to reach out to the sections of society that are usually not served by modern day B-Schools
• The development sector has seen more changes in the last 10 years, an indication of times to come. New CSR rules have been already generated higher consciousness in the corporate sector and at the same time raised pertinent questions on how to. There is a need for the corporate, NGOs, government and academia to come together, work on each one’s strength to enhance the social impact.
• SIMS centre of excellence, CESS was established in 2015 with the raison d’être to specifically address the lacunae in the management needs of the rapidly growing Social Sector.

To be a state-of-the-art management education, training, research and consulting centre that would enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of organisations and individuals in the social sector to create a larger impact.

Mission

To respond dynamically to the challenges in the social sector with creative adaptation of modern management tools of institutionalisation and organisational support.
